WHAT TO DO?

As demonstrated in the following video, there are two simple steps for this breathing technique: Inhale deeply, but gently through the nose, and exhale gently, through the nose, letting the air release naturally. Repeat as many times as it takes calm you down and quiet your mind. You can also close your eyes to concentrate better or focus on the sound of your breath.

ETA CARD #06

DESCRIPTION

Having your head in the clouds is not always a bad thing! It can be a great way to let your mind wander and discover new ideas, or shift our thinking out of looping, repetitive thought patterns.

WHAT TO DO?

Alternate nostril breathing allows us to boost our energy and calm our mind. It’s  simply the practice of breathing in or out one nostril at a time by blocking your nostrils alternately with your right hand.

1- Go blow your nose before starting … Ah ah!

2- Block your right nostril with your right thumb and inhale through your left nostril.

3- Block your left nostril with your little finger and release the right side- exhale out the right nostril, then inhale through the right nostril, keeping your left nostril blocked.

5- Exhale out your left nostril.

This completes one full cycle. Practice this for at least 5-minutes to balance the two hemispheres of the brain. Do it all with the intention of releasing your worries.

You can also combine this exercise with CARD #7 and clarify your intention for the day, or use it with CARD #10 and make a list of all the tasks that concern you to get them off your mind.
